Our Pastor

Born in Massachusetts and raised in New Mexico, Pastor Whiston trusted Jesus Christ as his Savior at a young age. Following his salvation, his family also trusted Christ, miraculously leading to his divorced parents' remarriage. He surrendered to the preaching ministry in high school and later earned his Bible degree from Patriot Bible University. In 1999, he married his high school sweetheart, Shannon, and served as an assistant pastor at Gospel Light Baptist Church in New Mexico for five years. In 2004, Pastor Whiston became the pastor of Bible Baptist Church in Rangely, Colorado. Over two decades, he greatly expanded the church's ministries—including a Christian academy, camps, and a bus route—while actively serving the community as Fire Chief, Police Chaplain, and a First Responder. The Whistons have four children: Abigail, Adin, Amariah, and Ava. In September 2024, God called him to serve as the Pastor of Landmark Baptist Church in Grand Junction, Colorado.
